Rider On The Storm

‘Rider On The Storm’ is an animated short film about Rider, a boy who became an orphan at 7 when his mother died.  At 17, after years of bullying from other orphans and abuse from the evil Head Matron, Rider makes a run for it.  He climbs the cliffs behind the orphanage and flees into the woods. In his escape, Rider unknowingly dislodges a massive boulder with his foot. It crashes down the cliff and through the trees, onto the orphanage yard, landing on the Head Matron, killing her instantly. Believing he is finally free, Rider jumps a train, not knowing he is wanted for murder.

We are producing ‘Rider on the Storm’ without the big studio process. The entertainment industry is filled with outstanding scripts that will never get made or are produced into something that isn’t even close to what the original writer envisioned. Grateful Motion Studios does not want to compromise the vision of any artist. That’s why we need your help. This short film is the first chapter of a feature-length screenplay that is being produced to showcase and market the future feature film. This will be one of the most powerfully engaging movies of our time, brought to life with a combination of stop-motion and CGI animation.  This visual experience will blur the lines between reality and animation, leaving the audience wondering if what they saw was real or animated.

CHARACTER SCULPT AND FABRICATION

'Rider On The Storm' is being produced utilizing a groundbreaking animation technique that fuses the artistry of stop-motion with the realism of computer-generated imagery (CGI) to create hyper-realistic imagery that makes it difficult for the viewer to tell whether the characters are animated or real. Combined with a screenplay that is both emotionally gripping and funny, this film will captivate audiences of all ages and is destined to become a timeless, award-winning film.

The short film ‘Rider On The Storm’ was culled from a feature-length screenplay that has already been given the highest industry scores. The script was written to evoke emotions, inspire imagination, and resonate with viewers on a deep level. The short film will stand on its own introducing this state-of-the-art animation and also serve as a teaser for the feature-length version and will be used to generate funding and market that film. Together with this novel form of hyper-realistic animation, it will tap into a new realm of storytelling in film and has tremendous market potential. This captivating and visually stunning short will generate anticipation and curiosity around the short and the upcoming full-length feature film.
